Nutritional Counselling

I have a strong nutritional background at the post-secondary level. I provide nutritional counselling to many of my personal training clients. You simply can't have one without the other. Quite often I include this service free of charge with their training sessions, discussing lifestyle and eating habits while working out. If it is preferred, we can schedule a session specifically to discuss this aspect of your health and well-being at my regular session rate.

vegetables EAT WELL. LIVE WELL. If only it were that simple. We all want to live a long, healthy life. Who doesn't want to have more energy, a stronger immune system and a healthy waistline? However if we eat only to lose weight, it doesn't mean we are healthy or that the pounds will stay gone. When we eat for overall good health (instead of just focusing on weight loss) we can look forward to:

  • Lowering cholesterol levels
  • Avoiding diabetes
  • Avoiding hypertension
  • Heart health
  • Weight management

The added benefit of all this, we lose unhealthy pounds. When we combine our healthy eating with cardio and resistance training we are able to maintain a healthy weight and waistline. My clients find keeping a food journal helps keep them on track. I review their records and then we can see what's working and where they could improve. I strongly recommend cleansing before attempting to lose weight.

Cleansing Boot Camp

You wouldn't drive your car to Nova Scotia without getting the oil changed and making sure it was running at its best. Many people try to lose weight with a toxic liver. They try to exercise with a tired-out body. A cleanse is the perfect way to give your body a fresh start and make sure everything is free of the years of sludge we've been putting into it. Did you smoke when you were young? Maybe you like a few cocktails at happy hour? How many Happy Meals have we all shared? Time to start fresh: clean up, and then the real work of getting your health back can begin. I discovered cleansing with the help of a naturopath. After my last pregnancy I had reached 160 pounds. I was watching what I ate and exercising, but the scale was not moving. It was not until I started regularly cleansing 6 years ago that the weight started to come off.  Isagenix cleansing and weight maintenance products help keep things simple.
